Die Verwendung von beta-adrenergen-rezeptor-Blockern (auch bekannt als beta-Blocker) ist kontraindiziert bei Patienten mit sinus-bradyarrhythmia oder Herzblock größer als der erste Grad (es sei denn, eine funktionierende Herzschrittmacher vorhanden ist). Aufgrund Ihrer negativ inotropen und chronotropen Wirkungen auf das Herz, die Verwendung von beta-Blockern ist wahrscheinlich noch zu verschlimmern diese Bedingungen.
