Konsument:

Sulfonamide werden können systemisch absorbiert wird, wenn auf die Haut aufgetragen, Auge oder Schleimhaut-Membranen. Einmal aufgenommen, Sulfonamide und Ihre Metabolite werden beseitigt durch die Niere. Patienten mit eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion kann ein erhöhtes Risiko für schädliche Wirkungen von Sulfonamiden durch verminderten Arzneimittel-clearance. Darüber hinaus Sulfonamide verursachen können, Nieren-Toxizität sekundäre crystalluria, einschließlich uro - und nephrolithiasis, nephritis, toxische nephrose, Hämaturie, Proteinurie und erhöhte BUN und Kreatinin. Flüssigkeitszufuhr und ausreichenden Harnfluss (> 1,5 L/Tag) beibehalten werden sollte, während Sulfonamid-Verwaltung. Renale Funktionstests und Urinanalyse sollten regelmäßig durchgeführt werden bei längerer Therapie (> 2 Wochen). Einige Hersteller von topischen Sulfonamid-Produkte nicht empfehlen, die Ihre Anwendung bei Patienten mit eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion.
