Konsument:

Die Verwendung von carvedilol ist kontraindiziert bei Patienten mit NYHA-Klasse IV dekompensierte Herzinsuffizienz. Sympathische stimulation kann wichtig sein bei der Aufrechterhaltung der hämodynamischen Funktion bei diesen Patienten, also beta-blockade verschlimmern kann der Herzinsuffizienz. Carvedilol kann verwendet werden für die Behandlung von leichter bis mittelschwerer (NYHA-Klasse II oder III) Herzversagen des ischämischen oder kardiomyopathische Ursprung in den Patienten, die mit digitalis, Diuretikum, einem ACE-inhibitor, und/oder Nitrate.
