Konsument:

Die reverse-Transkriptase-Inhibitoren, Didanosin (ddI), zalcitabine (ddC), Stavudin (d4T) und Lamivudin (3TC), kann dazu führen, Pankreatitis. Die Inzidenz ist in der Regel gering, aber Sie ist etwa 7% mit ddI, und bis zu 15% bei pädiatrischen Patienten, die 3TC. Patienten mit einer Vorgeschichte von oder bekannten Risikofaktoren für Bauchspeicheldrüsenentzündung wie Alkohol-Missbrauch oder Hypertriglyzeridämie, sollten engmaschig überwacht während der Therapie mit diesen Wirkstoffen. Die Therapie sollte abgebrochen werden bei den ersten Anzeichen oder Symptomen mit Verdacht auf Pankreatitis (z.B., übelkeit, Erbrechen, Bauchschmerzen, hyperamylasemia mit dysglycemia, Anstieg der Triglyceride, die abnehmende serum-calcium), und vorzugsweise dauerhaft eingestellt, wenn klinische Pankreatitis entwickelt.
