Konsument:

Beta-adrenerge rezeptor-Blockern (auch bekannt als beta-Blocker) kann die Maske Symptome der Unterzuckerung wie zittern, Tachykardie und Veränderungen des Blutdrucks. Neben der nicht-selektiver beta-Blocker (z.B. propranolol, pindolol verringern, timolol) hemmen kann, Katecholamin-vermittelte glycogenolysis, damit wir wissen, dass er insulin-induzierte Hypoglykämie und verzögert die Wiederherstellung der normalen Blut-Glukose-Niveaus. Da cardioselectivity ist nicht absolut, größere Dosen von beta-1-selektive Substanzen kann zeigen diese Effekte. Therapie mit beta-Blockern verabreicht werden vorsichtig in Patienten mit diabetes oder Neigung zu spontaner Hypoglykämie.

Thiazid-Diuretika können die Ursache Hyperglykämie und Glukosurie bei Patienten mit diabetes. Sie können auch Niederschlag diabetes bei prediabetic Patienten. Diese Wirkungen sind im Allgemeinen reversibel nach absetzen der Medikamente. Therapie mit Thiazid-Diuretika gegeben werden sollte vorsichtig in Patienten mit diabetes mellitus, Glukose-Intoleranz, oder einer Prädisposition, Hyperglykämie. Patienten mit diabetes mellitus sollten stärker überwacht werden während der Thiazid-Therapie, und Ihre antidiabetischen Therapie entsprechend angepasst.
